P.O.P from NYSC

On the 12th day of April 2018, the 2017 NYSC Batch A, Stream 1 Corpers were ceremonially celebrated during their P.O.P in various states. I was amongst them. Yes, I've served and I've dusted off those jungle boots (even though I never wore mine as it was oversized). Though I'm suppose to forget my P.P.A but I won't because I met some fellas that are great and who made my year 'laughable'. No matter how a thing or situation feels unnecessary to have or explore, you'd end up learning one or two things.

Now what's next after service life? How much have we learnt during the service year? Were the relationships we built worthwhile? Are we expected to start a job or to be our own bosses? How long will it take to get employed? How long will it take to start and grow a business? So many lines to fall into place. So many expectations that looks like a bed of roses. REALITY: Life can be a bed of roses. Life can be a bed of thorns. Life can be 'all that glitters..'. And life can be '..are not gold'. MOST DEFINITE REALITY: Life can be all that you want, when there is GOD in it!! Let your plans fall into his. He is the only motivator you have before yourself..
